How long does it take for Afterpay to refund me?
After making a return, it may take several days for the merchant to accept the return and process a refund — especially if you’ve returned items via mail. Until the refund is confirmed and processed by the merchant, your original Payment Schedule with Afterpay will continue.
How does Afterpay card refund work?
- It depends on how you originally paid for the item.
- If you used our barcode you should return the item to the store along with the till receipt and the store team member will scan the receipt to ensure the refund goes back to your Afterpay account.
Can I return an Afterpay purchase?
Any refund which is of full order amount is considered as a full refund. Afterpay will automatically cancel the shopper’s payment schedule so that the shopper is no longer charged for the order. If the shopper has made any payments Afterpay will process a refund back to their card.
Can you dispute an Afterpay payment?
If a consumer has a dispute with Afterpay, their terms provide that they will aim to resolve the complaint within 45 business days. Given this is ‘business days’, that means it could take over two months to (maybe) resolve. The process could, of course, take even longer.
How do I unfreeze my Afterpay account?
If at any time you would like to stop using Afterpay, you just need to get in touch and let us know and we will apply a temporary freeze to your account which will prevent you from being able to shop. Afterpay will not help you build your credit history because it does not report its loans to the credit bureaus. While this is helpful to get approved, its lack of reporting of your positive payment history will not help your credit either.
