How many MB is good for picture?
If the JPEG is less than 250kb, it will only be suitable for use on screen. 250kb-500kb might be usable as a small thumbnail. 500kb-1mb usable up to A7 – one eighth of an A4 sheet (74 x 105 mm or 2⅞” x 4⅛”) 1mb-1.5mb up to A6 – one quarter of A4 (105 x 148 mm or 4 ⅛” x 5⅞”)
What size should a high quality photo be?
You need a much higher resolution when you want to make prints of your digital photos. For photos that will be examined closely – i.e. print sizes up to A4 – the recommended output resolution is 300 pixels/inch. For larger prints, which will be viewed from greater distances, the print resolution can be somewhat lower.
Is 1.5 MB high resolution?
Any image file less than 1MB will probably not be much use for high quality printing (unless it’s going to be very tiny). Don’t try to scale or touch up a low res photo.

24-bit RGB (16.7 million colors) picture, one megabyte has approximately 349920 (486 X 720) pixels. 32-bit CYMK (16.7 million colors) picture, one megabyte has 262144 (512 X 512) pixels. 48-bit picture, one megabyte has only 174960 (486 X 360) pixels.
