What size frame do I need for a 16×24 canvas?
A 16×24 print will need a 16×24 frame. If you elect to utilize matting, you will need to add 4″ to the height and width of the print. Using matting you will need a 20×28 frame, a 20×28 mat (20×28 matting will have an opening for a 16×24 print – actual opening will be 15.5×23.

If you purchased a 16 x 16″ art print, then I recommend a 20″ x 20″ frame with a mat.
Is 16×20 A standard frame size?
11×14 and 16×20 are standard picture sizes and will give you a nice 2 1/2-3″ border which is about right IMO for a 11×14. Typically, the larger the size the larger the mat anywhere from 2 1/2″ for 11×14 to 5″ or more for a 20×30.
What size frame do I need for a 16×20 print?
We like to use 20×24 inch frames or even larger if we can find it, leaving a nice, beefy mat around the image. As the photograph gets larger it also gets harder to find store-bought frames in the right size and many people choose to have their piece custom framed.

How much bigger should a frame be than the picture?
Often times the standard rule is to select a frame that is an inch wider and taller than the print, or poster. The frame shouldn’t be any bigger than the standard as it will make the picture or print look odd.
How do I know my eyeglass frame size?
Frame sizing is typically noted on the inside of either temple (see illustration below). The eye/lens size is usually first, then the bridge size, then temple size. Use the eye/lens size to determine the best frame size.
How do I know my glasses size?
In most prescription eyeglasses, you will see exact measurements printed on the temples or sometimes behind the nose bridge as shown in the image. For example, in an eyeglass frames where it reads 57- 20-135, it simply relates to an eye size of 57, bridge size of 20 with its temple length of 135.
