So the 29-year-old former financier took it upon himself to create Public Rec, a Chicago-based clothing company specializing in leisure clothing for men that looks nicer than your average pair of sweatpants. Public Rec currently offers two products.

Public Rec’s clothing is manufactured in Vietnam, Indonesia, Peru, and Thailand depending on the product &, fabric. Their “Go-To” line features their proprietary blend of Tensel®, spandex, and pima cotton, which is a very soft type of cotton.
When was Public Rec founded?
Public Rec was launched through a kickstarter campaign in 2015, and has been fast-growing ever since.
How do you clean a public rec?
We recommend machine washing in cold water with like fabrics—the synthetic garments (ADED Pant, Workday Pant, etc.) together, and the cotton-based garments (Go-To Tee, Henleys, Luxe Fleece, etc.) together. To maximize the lifespan of our synthetic fabrics, hang dry after washing.
Does public rec ever have sales?
While not quite as rare as a visit from Halley’s Comet, Public Rec putting their entire site on sale is an occurrence that doesn’t come around all that often. Usually, it only happens once a year on Black Friday.
What is inseam in pants?
Start with a pair of pants you already have that fit you well and lay them flat on the floor. Carefully measure the length from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg. THIS NUMBER IS YOUR INSEAM.
